Corymbia’s lightweight construction simplifies the on-site process and is set within a sturdy perimeter of Otetto’s signature hempcrete walling system. This innovative natural technology is strong and efficient, with excellent thermal, acoustic, fire, termite and mould-resistant properties.

Are Otetto homes energy efficient?

Our homes are meticulously designed with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency. From advanced hemp insulation to high-performance windows, we prioritize features that not only enhance your comfort but also contribute to a reduced environmental impact. Our panels deliver a thermal R-value of R-3.75 to R-4.25, well above minimum NatHERS requirements. Modelling shows hempcrete homes can reduce heating and cooling energy use by up to 60% compared to brick veneer.

Do you offer customisable floorplans?

Our architectural designs follow a modular design concept, allowing homeowners to adapt their living spaces by adding or removing rooms to align with their specific needs and lifestyle. This process is guided by your Otetto sales representative and is subject to site and budget considerations.

How does the build process work?

There are three stages before construction begins:

Stage 1 — Preliminary Investigation: Site assessment, project brief, preliminary council check, and a detailed budget estimate. Low-risk by design — it tells you whether your project is viable before you commit further.
Stage 2 — Design Consultation: Design refinement, specialist consultants engaged (geo-tech, BASIX, bushfire, structural as needed), client-approved final design, and an updated cost estimate.
Stage 3 — Approvals & Council Submissions: Technical documentation prepared and submitted to council or a private certifier.
