Design features

  • The L-shaped plan can be flipped and rotated to harness opportunities for natural light, views and winter sun on every site.
  • The flexible orientation also ensures privacy, by placing longer perimeter walls as shelter from the road and screening from neighbours.
  • A large highlight window with a generous eave above helps to moderate natural light, warmth and breezes.
  • Integrated sustainable features include 100% electric power, high-performing hemp-based insulation, the latest renewable energy technology and materials, plus energy-efficient fittings, fixtures and façade systems.
  • A spacious and generous approach makes Corymbia House especially well-suited to acreages, expansive lots, and rural areas.
  • The perimeter wall can be sunk into the ground to neutralise sloping sites.

Harnessing every site’s natural features

The considered L-shaped plan is designed to ensure every space has access to abundant natural light and fresh air. Within this model, a customisable spatial layout means public and private wings can easily be expanded to include rumpus, study, guest rooms, robes and more.

Corymbia’s lightweight construction simplifies the on-site process and is set within a sturdy perimeter of Otetto’s signature hempcrete walling system. This innovative natural technology is strong and efficient, with excellent thermal, acoustic, fire, termite and mould-resistant properties.

Complementing the natural aesthetic of hempcrete, abundant integrated timber joinery adds a level of warm sophistication to the interior. This, along with expansive windows, sliding doors and wraparound verandah, creates a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience deeply connected to its surroundings.

Are Otetto homes energy efficient?

Our homes are meticulously designed with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency. From advanced hemp insulation to high-performance windows, we prioritize features that not only enhance your comfort but also contribute to a reduced environmental impact. Our commitment to green building practices ensures that your home is not just a space to live but an eco-friendly haven that conserves energy, lowers utility costs, and minimizes your carbon footprint.

Do you offer customisable floorplans?

Our architectural designs follow a modular design concept, allowing homeowners to adapt their living spaces by adding or removing rooms to align with their specific needs and lifestyle. This process is guided by your Otetto sales representative and is subject to site and budget considerations.

What is the process for selecting finishes and fixtures?

We alleviate the stress associated with finish selection by pre-specifying finishes that harmonize with the principles of each home design.
