Our Story

With a deep appreciation for the intelligence of hemp, we redefine the perception of sustainable construction by transcending outdated stereotypes and celebrating its potential.

Otetto Team

Our dedication to innovation fuels a continuous development of products that enhance our living spaces, shaping a better future for us all. With a seamless customer experience as our focus, we strive to unlock the brilliance of architecturally designed hemp homes.

Otetto is the Australian pioneer of sustainable and liveable housing. With a focus on integrity, accessibility and considered design, we’re thinking ahead about the future we’re leaving behind.

We have become known for delivering a construction experience based on transparency, client-focused solutions and quality craftsmanship. Harrison and Amanda, both with distinctly progressive visions for the future and a desire to do things better, recognised the impact of materials and construction methods on a building, its inhabitants and most notably, the environment.

After identifying a need to reduce this impact, Amanda and Harrison founded Otetto — architecturally designed homes and wall system.

Together, they’ve partnered with revered Australian architects to found a range of home designs that seek to revolutionise the future of housing.

As a collective, Otetto and its collaborators have a vision of bringing a sustainable building system to market that remarkably improves the quality of living both for its inhabitants and the planet at large.

Creating sustainable, accessible and impeccably liveable spaces that challenge the industry and provide a revolutionary approach to living.

The Statistics

Referenced from paper “Growing the Market for Sustainable Homes”.

Our Emissions Challenge

Australia’s home building sector faces a monumental challenge as we strive towards a global goal of zero net emissions by 2050. Our homes already account for 13% of our greenhouse gas emissions. With Australia’s population projected to be at 31 million by 2030, constructing up to 197,000 homes per year becomes necessary. However, the environmental impact of these homes is up to us.

Future-Proof Living

Sustainable homes require less energy to heat and cool, enhance occupant comfort and are more resilient to climate and weather extremes. Why wouldn’t we take this path?

The Results

When given the choice, two thirds of home buyers prefer energy efficient homes. The proof is in the pudding.
